Standing out in the desert night, feeling the electricity in the air and the smell of creosote after the rain, camera in hand, completely alive. Capturing that raw, fleeting beauty in a fraction of a second felt less like a hobby and more like a calling. Over three decades later that same feeling hasn’t changed, the patience, the stillness, the moment when light does something extraordinary and you’re there to catch it. Photography has always been about connection for me, to nature, to the people I photograph, and to the ones who’ve shaped who I am. This work is my way of sharing what I see with the world and hoping it makes you feel something too.
